Cacao, pronounced ka-cow, is the seed/nut of a fruit of an Amazonian tree. It is a natural superfood that contains high levels of antixodants, magnesium, iron, manganese and chromium.

Cacao is raw chocolate, that contains many benefits that processed chocolate doesn't. It is considered a super antioxidant due to it's high ORAC score, even higher than berries and spinach (ORAC is a term for measuring antioxidant amounts).

Antioxidants prevent cellular damage, which means it keeps us looking younger than we actually are.

Cacao also improves cardiovascular health, builds strong bones, is a natural aphrodisiac, and elevates our mood and energy.

Being someone that doesn't particularly like bitter flavours, I use cacao in baking, cooking and smoothies. I find it super tasty, and it's just a bonus that it contains so many benefits! Woo!

Enjoy,
